Credit Report

You should obtain a credit report from the three major credit bureaus; Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to determine if there are any additional debts of which you may be unaware. You may obtain one free credit report in any 12 month period. If you have been denied credit, employment or insurance in the past 60 days, your credit report may also be free. Otherwise, a service charge of approximately $8.00 may apply.
Information that is generally requested includes: full name, current home address, previous addresses (for a five year period of time), social security number, date of birth, and proof of your current address.
If you wish to mail in your request, a form can be downloaded at Credit Report Request Form. If you wish to make your request online, go to www.annualcreditreport.com. You may also make the request by telephone at (877) 322-8228.
